Facial rejuvenation refers to cosmetic surgical procedures that reverse the signs of aging on a person’s face. These procedures are often combined to produce a satisfying outcome. Dr. Morse can perform several facial rejuvenation procedures including:
Based on different areas of the face, plastic surgeons generally divide these procedures into three groups: the upper third, mid face and lower third. From the forehead down to the neck, your plastic surgeon can address visible conditions like wrinkles, folds, lines and many other cosmetic concerns.
A brow lift can reduce wrinkles and lines around on the forehead, and restore the youthful arch of the eyebrows. The procedure may also be effective for correcting loose, drooping skin on the eyelids. Your brow lift can be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. There are many different techniques that can be used, including the minimally invasive endoscopic brow lift. Typical recovery time is 7-10 days.
Facelift surgery can address a wide variety of age-related imperfections in the middle and lower areas of one’s face. Sagging jowls, deep folds and excess neck skin are all commonly addressed during this surgery. Operating time is approximately 2 to 3 hours and surgery is often done under local anesthesia. Dr. Morse carefully separates the skin from the underlying fat and muscle, then trims and tightens the facial tissues. Recovery time is approximately 2 – 3 weeks.
Neck contouring can enhance the definition of the mandible, creating a youthful, more angular transition from the face to the neck. Procedures will vary. Dr. Morse may recommend liposuction or a procedure very similar to a facelift. Another technique called platysmaplasty removes a small part of the sagging platysma muscle, which is often seen hanging below the neck.
We also provide several non-surgical alternatives to rejuvenate your facial appearance. You can learn more about any of these procedures during a consultation with Dr. Martin Morse. Contact us today to schedule your appointment.
